Steph Curry is known as one of, if not the, best players of the National Basketball Association (NBA). For three consecutive years now, his team, the Golden State Warriors, are going head-to-head against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals and it is expected to be a close fight!

The first game has already ended and Steph’s team has the upper hand but the game is still on. Hang on, though. Did you notice Steph Curry’s shoe game during his last game? It was definitely on point! But there’s something else about it that you should know!

If you look closely, you can see that this was written on his kicks: Romans 8:28. For those of you who don’t know, that is scripture, a verse from the Bible. What does it say?

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Born Stephen “Steph” Curry, this exceptional basketball player grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a man who loves the Lord Jesus Christ and he is not afraid to show it!
Steph Curry said in an interview:

“Obviously, there’s a lot of hoopla and fanfare that follows you wherever you go, but I know where my talent comes from… I know why I play the game, and it’s not to score 30 points a night, but it’s to use the stage I’m on. I’ve been put here for a specific purpose: to be a witness and to share my testimony as I go through it.”

This isn’t the first time Steph Curry has done this. Actually, he has a bible verse written on his shoes for every year! Last year, he went with Philippians 4:13.

When asked what it meant, Steph said:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’ It’s also my mantra, how I get up for games and why I play the way I do.”
